Healthy Baby Spaces by Ruth Gardner-Loew

Saturday January 19th, 2013 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Baby Proof is not always Baby Safe…

Parents and parents-to-be – even grandparents – all those responsible for the well-being of babies (and children in general) should learn more about what makes a safe interior environment. Today, there are still too many adults who are unaware of how much their children are negatively affected by products commonly used in their homes… particularly those labeled “special baby care.”

This class, taught by Ruth Gardner-Loew a healthy homes consultant, will present some “Baby Safe” knowledge to help you make healthy choices when selecting household cleaning products, body care and hair products, furniture, flooring, bedding, clothing and other materials. It will also cover some of the dangers expectant mothers should avoid to reduce risks to the unborn.

You’ll start off with a personal quiz to gauge how your house rates on a scale of 1-10, then you’ll learn how to start changing things without becoming overwhelmed.

It’s hard to change what goes on in the outside world, but we can change what we do in our homes as we plan and create a “haven of peace and tranquility” for our families.
